Power frequency testing for 24kV Vacuum Circuit Breaker
Phase to phase, phase to earth power frequency withstand voltage; IEC standard required 65kV;
Left first meter is the power frequency withstand voltage kV;
Second meter is the leakage current A;
Third meter is timer;
Requires withstand voltage time of 60s not break down, If it fails, the voltage cannot be maintained to 60s, the equipment will trip, and it cannot be re-setting input 65kV voltage.
The leakage current is only less than 2A, the testing equipment & VCB is about 1A; there is a protection relay inside, if the leakage current exceeds 2A, it will be opened to protect the power frequency withstand voltage test equipment;
The leakage current VS1 (Indoor type VCB) is only 0.5A; the outdoor VCB is larger such as ZW32 has 1A, and the others are the leakage current of the testing equipment;
The leakage current is the creaking sound zzzzzzzzz, during the power frequency withstand voltage test;
The leakage current of VS1 is small, and the creaking sound can hardly be heard.
The leakage current of the outdoor VCB power frequency withstanding voltage creaking sound is obvious.
